ECS Group is a UK infrastructure business delivering rail, power, plant, civils, and training services across some of the country's most critical projects. Having grown through acquisition, the business had reached a point where its structure told a different story to its ambitions. Separate service businesses operating under inconsistent identities made it difficult to present ECS as the unified, capable group it had become. They approached Batur to bring strategic clarity to the brand and build the foundations for the next stage of growth.

Our Approach
We started where the challenge was rooted: business structure. Before any design work began, we worked closely with the ECS leadership team to define how the group should be positioned as a whole and how each division related to it. This strategic groundwork shaped every creative decision that followed.
The solution was a branded house architecture. We established ECS Group as the parent identity, with five distinct divisional brands sitting beneath it: ECS Rail, ECS Power, ECS Plant, ECS Civils, and ECS Training. Each division received its own dedicated colour palette to create clear visual separation across services, while a shared design language tied everything back to the group. The result was a brand system that communicated both depth of specialism and strength of unity, something the business had never been able to show before. The system was then applied across every touchpoint: vans, signage, business cards, digital platforms, and sales materials, ensuring that whether a client encountered ECS on a construction site or in a boardroom, the experience was consistent. With the brand architecture defined, we rebuilt their entire web presence from the ground up. The new site was structured to reflect the scale and professionalism of the group, with a clear information hierarchy that allowed each division to tell its own story within the broader ECS narrative. Custom animations, immersive layouts, and third-party integrations were built in to create a website that performed as well as it looked.
